Selection Process
The v3 Consulting Engineers Selects applicants to fund in the following manner:
- Selection will be based on student potential (based on an academic transcript, that is, how well you performed on your academics).
- Behavioural competencies (assessed through interviews, only for shortlisted candidates)
- Representation (Employment Equity considerations)
- ID and Academic verification
- Pre-selection interviews and a final interview will be carried out before the final decision.
V3 Bursary Conditions
- V3 monitors its bursar's academic development twice (June and Nov) a year. V3 may withdraw the bursary if the results are unsatisfactory.
- Satisfactory bursars receive funding from their second year of study and throughout the duration of their study.
- Successful bursars will be considered for vacation work in university holidays, and consideration will also give to possible placement in the Graduate Development Program where they can get practical experience in their fields of study.
- Graduate mentorship programs for professional advice will be available to Bursars.
- Post graduation, bursars participate in the graduate development programme and enjoy a range of opportunities for career advancement which includes securing a position as a candidate engineer or professional registration through V3.
Eligibility Requirements
In order to be eligible, applicants must fulfil the following requirements:
- Must be a citizen of South Africa
- Must be 18–22 years old
- Must have completed Matric
- Studying towards either an Engineering or Construction Project Management degree
- Registration for a: 3rd or 4th year programme; or Postgraduate studies.
- You must be studying at an approved and accredited South African University
- Minimum grade of 5 across all subjects.
- Should not be getting any other monetary help
- Preference will be given to Employment Equity candidates who meet all the requirements

All candidates shall upload clear copies of the following documents in support of the applications (Failure to submit/page missing will lead to disqualification)
- Certified copy of South African ID.
- Certified copy of Matric certificate
- Complete academic record together with the latest results (on the university letterhead)
- Evidence of enrolment/admission (on university headed paper)
- Original Quotation of study fee or financial statement (in university headed paper)
- Letter of motivation clearly stating why you deserve to be sponsored for a bursary
- Recent head-and-shoulders photograph

- V3 Consulting Engineers only accepts bursaries online (any documents emailed will not be reviewed).
- Applications, once started, cannot be saved for later resumption, so have all details to hand before commencing.
- All documents must be submitted as PDF or Word files except the photo (JPG or PNG format, maximum 20MB).
