ABOUT THE BURSARY PROVIDER

The business uses a group of professionals who provide a wide range of services, guaranteeing a smooth transition from original ideation to execution, followed by ongoing maintenance and operational support.

Since its founding in 2005, PROXA has concentrated on providing customized water treatment solutions to businesses in Australia, the Middle East, and Africa.

FIELDS COVERED

The following fields of study will be eligible to receive bursaries:

• Chemical Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Before applying, candidates must meet the following minimal standards:

• You must have been born in South Africa and be a citizen of that country.
• You have to be between the ages of 17 and 25.
• You need to be classified as a Previously Disadvantaged Individual.
• You have to be enrolled in or have finished your matriculation.
• In Matriculation, you must pass Physical Science and Pure Mathematics (not Mathematics Literacy).
• In Matric, you must have received at least a 75% total average.
• You must be pursuing a degree in one of the above-mentioned fields full-time or plan to do so.
• You must be enrolled in, applying to, or studying in a South African educational institution that has earned accreditation.
• If you are a tertiary student now, you must have earned a minimum overall average of 65% for the previous academic year.

if you don't meet them all, your application won't be taken into consideration.

APPLICATION PROCESS FOR THE PROXA WATER BURSARY

Download and complete the Proxa Water 2026 Bursary Application

 Together with your filled-out application, send in the following supporting material:

• Identity document (certified copy)
• Final test report for grade 11 OR, if enrolled in matric, June 2025 matric results (certified copy)
• If completed, a certified copy of your Matric certificate
• If enrolled in classes, a verified copy of your tertiary academic record
• Evidence of tertiary acceptance or registration
• Proof of household income can be provided by the most recent payslips of parents or guardians, if they are employed, an affidavit if they are not, or evidence of an SASSA grant or pension, if applicable.
• Evidence of residency
• Evidence of disability, if any
• CV
