All students currently pursuing a degree within the Information Technology (IT) field are being called up by BBD to apply for their bursary programme designed to give them opportunities in software development.
Who should Apply
The bursary program will be given to both undergraduate and postgraduate students currently studying or intending to study BIS / BSc / BEng / BCom degree with a major in one of the following:
1. Computer Science
2. Information Technology
3. Game Design
4. Informatics
5. Computer and Software Engineering
Financial Coverage
Successfully funded students will receive the following coverage from their beloved BBD:
Full Tuition Fees
Monthly Allowance which comprises living expenses and Incidentals
In addition to the above-mentioned financial coverage, the programme also offers support and guidance to ensure its students stay academically fit.
Opportunities at BBD
All BBD successfully funded students will have to attend a two week-long workshop both at the beginning of the year and mid-year. This workshop is designed to help students meet their fellow bursars as well as familiarize themselves with the company unique culture. Finally, the programme also offers graduate programs to its graduated students at their designated university.
What is required
Interested candidates must meet the following requirements before applying for this opportunity:
- Must be a South African candidate.
- Either currently studying or about to study towards a degree in IT at any recognised University in South Africa.
- If You currently finished matric, you must have at least an overall average of 70%. If currently enrolled in a university, you must have at least an average of 65%.
- Must be Interested in designing and implementing software products and you should have some interesting stuff to show them.
