Probe IMT is a South African innovative technology company that develops digital solutions for the mining and industrial sector, focusing on safety, automation, data intelligence and smart monitoring systems. The bursary programme under Probe IMT prepares students for careers in the fields of technology engineering and business related to modern mining operations.
The Probe IMT Bursary Programme for 2026 will support students of academic ability in undergraduate and Honours studies in areas required for innovation, digital transformation and operational exellence in industry.
Fields of Study Covered
Bursaries will be awarded for studies in the following fields:
- Data Analytics
- Computer Science
- Data Science (BSc & BCom)
- Electrical Engineering (Light Current)
- Finance
- Human Resources
- Marketing
- Mechatronic Engineering
- Software Engineering
Selection Criteria
- Selection is based on academic performance and meeting minimum subject requirements.
- Shortlisted applicants will be contacted within 14 days after the closing date.
- If no response is received within this period, the application should be regarded as unsuccessful.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must have completed Matric
- Must be studying or intending to study towards an undergraduate (including Honours) qualification in one of the listed fields
- Must have achieved a university exemption pass in Matric
- Must have achieved at least 60% (Level 5) for English
- Must have achieved at least 60% (Level 5) for Mathematics
- Must have achieved at least 60% (Level 5) for Science
- Must be studying or intending to study at a recognised and accredited tertiary institution in South Africa
