The Avemel Group invites applications for the EmpowerED Bursary Programme for the 2026 Academic year. The programme is designed to assist deserving students in their studies which are in line with the identified long-term skills needs of the business, thereby creating future career possibilities within the organization.

- The bursary includes a work-back obligation, meaning successful students must be willing to work for Avemel in Durban after graduation for the same period they were funded.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must have completed Matric
- Must be entering first-year studies in 2026
- Must intend to study towards a qualification in one of the listed fields
- Must plan to study at a recognised and accredited tertiary institution in South Africa
- Must be willing to work at Avemel's Durban operations after graduation
