Pyrotec Bursary Scheme 2026


Pyrotec is a South African company established in 1966, specialising in product identification, labeling and print solutions. Headquartered in Cape  Town, the company operate across several provinces including Western Cape, Mpumalanga, KwaZulu-Natal, Gauteng and Eastern Cape, and Southern African including Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Swaziland, Mozambique and Lesotho. Through its bursary programme, Pyrotec supports students by investing in education and skills development.

Fields Covered

Pyrotec invites students to apply for their 2026 bursary programme.

Bursaries will be awarded for undergraduate and postgraduate studies (NQF Level 4-10) in the following fields:

  • Information Technology & Communication
  • Engineering
  • Health and related Clinical services
  • Architects, Town Planners and Surveyors
  • Business, Management and Economics
  • Natural & Social Science 
  • Quality and Regulatory Studies
  • Media, Artistic, Literary, Design and Graphic Design
  • Sales, Marketing and related Associate 
  • Sports and Fitness
  • Finance
  • Human Resources

Expenses Covered & Selection

The bursary provides comprehensive cover for the following expenses:
  • Tuition fees
  • Registration fees
  • Accomodation (single room at university hostels)
  • Annual allowance of maximum R5 000 for textbooks
  • Transport
Tuition and registration fees are paid directly to the institution, while textbook and transport allowances are paid to students.

Successful applicants will be contacted by 27 February 2026. If you do not receive feedback by then, please consider your application unsuccessful.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet the followig minimum criteria:
  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Must be an AA\EE candidate
  • Must be studying or intending to study in one of the listed fields
  • Must be registered or accepted at a recognised South African university
  • Must show genuine interest in the chosen field
  • Preference is given to first-year students with a minimum average of 70%

  • Certified copy of ID document
  • Certified copy of Matric certificate or highest qualification
  • Proof of university acceptance or registration (on institution letterhead)
  • 1-page motivational letter
  • Proof of address (if applying for transport allowance)
  • Study quotes or invoice (tuition, accommodation, books, travel - if applicable)
Incomplete applications may be disqualified.

Closing Date

30 January 2026 at 17h00 
Late applications will not be considered.
