The South African National Accreditation System (SANAS) is the official body responsible for accrediting organizations like testing laboratorie, inspection bodies and certification bodies in South Africa. By ensuring these institutions meet international standards, SANAS promotes quality, reliability and global trust in South African products and services.
Field Covered
SANAS is inviting students to apply for its bursary programme for the 2026 academi year. Bursaries will be awarded for studies in any field, including:
- National Diploma
- Degrees
- Honours
- And postgraduate Diplomas at recognized South African tertiary institutions.
Coverage & Selection
The bursary will cover tuition fees only, up to the following limits:
- National Diploma or Degree: R50 000 per academic year
- Honours orPostgraduate Diploma: R70 000 per academic year
Please note that no other study expenses (like accomodation, meal or textbook) are included.
Shortlisted candidates will be contacted directly by SANAS regarding application outcome.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for this bursary, applicants must:
- Be a South African citizen
- Have completed Matric
- Be studying or planning to study a National Diploma, Degree, Honours or Postgraduate Diploma in any field.
- Be enrolled or intend to enroll at a recognized and accredited South African tertiary institution
- Be committed to advancing their education and contributing skills to South Africa

- Submit the following documents in one email (all documents are compulsory
- Certified copy of ID document
- Certified copy of Matric certificate
- Proof of household income (parents' \ guardians latest payslips if employed; affidavit if unemployed; pension or social grant proof if applicable)
- Course outline from the tertiary institution
- Proof of admission or registration at a recognized Higher Education Institution
