ABOUT THE BURSARY PROVIDER

Protecting the public from loss due to theft of trust funds is the responsibility of the Legal Practitioners Fidelity Fund (LPFF), formerly the Attorneys Fidelity Fund (AFF). The primary goal of the AFF is to compensate clients who hired an attorney and may have suffered financial losses as a result of theft (either of money or property) that was entrusted to the lawyer.

The AFF is a fidelity guarantee fund that promotes the use of legal professionals' services by the general public.

FIELDS COVERED

Students are encouraged to apply for the Legal Practitioners Fidelity Fund's bursary program for the 2026–2027 school year.

Bursaries for undergraduate and postgraduate law studies will be awarded .

Funding will be provided to undergraduate students for the last two years of their LLB study. Students in their third year will receive assistance for their final year of study, while those in their second year will receive funding for their third and fourth years.

Postgraduate students must be practising or candidate attorneys aiming to enhance professional excellence.

BURSARY COVERAGE

The Fund will decide the bursary coverage amount, up to the annual cap set by the Justice Minister. The recipient's tuition will be covered by the grant.

A written acknowledgement of their submission will be sent to each candidate. Shortly following the bursary closing date, applicants will get notification of their application's status.

After receiving their scholarship award letter, successful bursary recipients have six months to decide whether to accept or reject the prize.
