ABOUT THE BURSARY PROVIDER

The Cape of Good Hope Bank was founded in 1831, marking the beginning of Nedbank's history. The Nedbank Group was subsequently established in 2003 after multiple name changes, structural adjustments, and rebranding.

Nedbank is one of the newest and one of the four biggest banks in South Africa. The bank operates in six Southern African Development Community (SADC) nations and has subsidiaries and banks in Namibia, Mozambique, Swaziland, Malawi, Lesotho, and Zimbabwe.

The bank's services include asset management, insurance, wealth management, and wholesale and retail banking services.

FIELDS COVERED

In order to alleviate the nation's scarcity of rare talents, bursaries will be given for studies leading to an undergraduate degree or an honors degree or diploma, with an emphasis on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) and green economy abilities.

In addition to significantly lowering environmental risks and ecological insufficiency (including lowering carbon emissions and pollution, boosting natural capital, and improving energy and material efficiency), green economy skills are fields of study that concentrate on enhancing social well-being and social equity.

Bursaries will be given by Nedbank to financially needy, academically deserving students who are enrolled in school or want to enroll but lack the funds to do so.
