ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP PROVIDER
Edward and Harry Molteno founded the Khula Cape Foundation, formerly the Cape Tercentenary Foundation, in 1950 with the goal of creating a fund for Cape Town's cultural advancement. The founders were committed to the environment, loved music and theater, and were pioneers in the Cape fruit sector.
In the Western, Eastern, and Northern Cape Provinces, the Foundation's goals are to conserve, support, and foster literature, the performing and visual arts, and the natural and cultural environment. Students who may help the Foundation achieve its goals are eligible to receive scholarship awards from the Foundation.
FIELDS COVERED
In keeping with the Foundation's objective to preserve, promote, and support literature, the visual and performing arts, as well as the natural and cultural environment of the Western, Eastern, and Northern Cape Provinces, scholarships will be given out for Post-Honors courses.
SCHOLARSHIP COVERAGE AND SELECTION
The grant has a maximum value of R10,000, which can be applied to study expenses. The student's fee account will receive the prize directly.
Scholarships are given out for one academic year at a time, but they can be partially or completely renewed for the following year if the scholar's supervisor provides a good Progress Report.
Within six weeks after the bursary closing date, successful applicants will get notification of their application's status; if you have not heard back by then, consider your application unsuccessful.
Recipients of scholarships might be asked to give a brief talk at the Foundation's annual general meeting.
