Previously known as Investec Asset Management, Ninety One SA (Pty) Ltd is an approved provider of financial services. Established in 1991, Investec Asset Management had a name change in 2020. The asset management company operates offices in London, UK (listed on the London Stock Exchange (LSE)) and Cape Town, South Africa (listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE)).
Field of Studies
Bursaries will be given for studies/research in the following areas/fields:
- Finance and Economics, Business Studies
- Engineering
- Pyschology
- Education (Math and Science)
- Health (Excluding; Dentistry, Medicine and Veterinary Science)
Coverange Values
The following costs will be covered by the bursary:
- complete tuition
- books
- lodging
- and meals.
Private tutoring, career counselling, resilience training, mental health assistance, and financial wellbeing workshops are further potential benefits that the bursary may offer.
Additionally, top-performing students will get a working wardrobe for their first job after graduation and assistance in obtaining a driver's license.
Career Wise is in charge of accepting, screening, and shortlisting applicants for the bursary program.
The final selection will be made when the shortlisted students attend a panel interview evaluation.
Ninety One SA (Pty) Lyd Bursary Eligibility Requiments
Before applying, candidates must meet the following minimal standards;
- You have to be a citizen of South Africa.
- In 2026, you must be younger than 21.
- You have to be enrolled in Matric right now.
- You must plan to pursue full-time education in order to earn a degree in one of the aforementioned subjects.
- In 2026, you must be starting your first year of university.
- You must plan to attend a South African university that is recognised.
- In Grade 11, you should have attained a minimum overall average of 70% or Level 6 in English, Mathematics, or Science.
- You must have demonstrated financial need, as evidenced by a family income below R600,000 annually. (If applicable, unique circumstances will be evaluated.)
- The minimal prerequisites for admission to your selected field of study must be met.
if you don't meet them all, your application won't be taken into consideration.

- Certified copy of ID document
- Grade 11 year-end results (certified copy)
- Certified copy of Grade 12 (Matric) latest results
- Evidence of 2026 university registration or application (on the letterhead of the institution)
- Evidence of parental income (most recent paystubs if employed, an affidavit if jobless, or an SASSA or pension slip, if appropriate)
