ABSA Historical Debt Relief 2026

Absa Group Limited is amongst the major financial institutions in Africa with operations in several countries on the continent and beyond. While it has a strong presence in South Africa, the group also owns and manages banks in Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Mauritius, Mozambique, Seychelles, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia, besides offices in Namibia, Nigeria, the UK and the United States.

They provide services for personal and business banking, corporate and investment banking, insurance solutions, credit products and wealth management. Absa remains on course to play a significant role in building an Africa that is not only financially inclusive but also one step ahead digitally.

Absa is not just a bank, rather it's a gateway to opportunities that help young South Africans move forward financially and professionally.

For many students, degree debt has made it impossible to take the next step in their careers as they are unable to collect their degree certificate. This is where the Absa CSI Trust Graduate Historical Debt Relief Programme comes into the picture.

Absa give students an opportunity to acquire certificates, enter into the employment market and further create a secure financial future by clearing historical debt from eligible graduates. This program also links graduates to actual job opportunities through collaboration with the Youth Employment Service (YES) that will assist them in transitioning from university into relevant work experience.

The Feenix Trust will administer the debt clearing process on behalf of Absa to ensure a seamless delivery of the programme.
This is not just a debt relief, this is a launching pad into employment, independence and the career you have worked hard for.
